Dear Brandy, FCNL’s Quaker Changemaker series has showcased stories of Friends lobbying, working with advocacy groups, holding public office, and more. However, we’ve yet to highlight stories of Quakers working directly in the legislative process as staff to an elected official. How did Friends decide to pursue work in legislative bodies? How does their role, and their work in public service, intersect with their Quaker identity? Register to join the conversation on May 26 at 6:30 p.m. EDT.
FCNL’s May Quaker Changemaker event will feature Kate Gould and Erinn Mansour. They will share what it’s like to be a Quaker working in legislatures and discuss the opportunities available for people who want to work in the legislative policy arena. Please forward this invitation to a F/friend, your community list-serv, and share our Facebook event with your networks!
