Dear Ruth,

I'm Jessica Bahena, the national field organizer at FCNL. Thank you for your advocacy and commitment to making this world a better place. I am reaching out because we have an opportunity to build momentum during Congress's August recess. With your members at home, your voice can make a real difference.

This is the moment to encourage your members of Congress to co-sponsor the Truth and Healing Commission on Indian Boarding School Policies Act (S. 2907/H.R. 5444). Lawmakers tell us that meeting with FCNL advocates have convinced them to redefine their positions on a range of issues. We have an opportunity now to advance this import legislation. Join me on July 19 to learn how you can weigh in.

The August recess is an opportunity for you to lobby your member of Congress and to recruit members from your community to join you. Lobbying with others not only makes your request more impactful, it also builds community.

In order to support your advocacy and recruitment efforts we are hosting an online training on July 19 at 6:00 p.m. EDT.

Can we count on you to attend?
 Jessica Bahena

Hope to see you soon,

Jessica Bahena
