Dear Friend,

In five days, Dreamers will have an answer from President Trump. September 5 is the deadline 10 state attorneys general have set for the president to rescind Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, or he’ll face a lawsuit. Rescinding DACA denies young immigrants a genuine chance to thrive in the only place that they call home. Your members of Congress need to weigh in with the president.

Join thousands of people of faith calling Congress today. Tell your members of Congress: Dreamers are part of our community.

Should President Trump choose to end this essential program, he will break the trust of almost 800,000 young people who believe in the greatness of this country and its people and the integrity of the government that collected their information. He will devastate communities that rely on and welcome DACA recipients as family, workers, students, and friends.

Your members of Congress can do three things right now to protect the 800,000 DACA recipients:

  1. Appeal directly to the president to keep this program in place,
  2. Issue a public statement of support for DACA recipients, and
  3. Support a clean passage of S. 1615/H.R. 3440, the Dream Act of 2017

Call your members of Congress today and urge them to protect DACA and the people who rely on it.

All of us have that of God within us and deserve a real chance to pursue our dreams, and shine our Light in the world. Rescinding DACA is not the right choice for our nation, and we call on President Trump and his advisors to keep the DACA program in place and defend it until there is a true, equitable, and permanent solution for all those affected.

Sincerely,
